The Firm has advised and represented parties in complex competition law matters arising under Competition law and merger control. The Firm regularly undertakes anti-trust advisory and contentious work, assisting clients in assessing and mitigating competition law risks arising out of commercial arrangements, market conduct, and industry practices. The Firm represents and advises clients in proceedings before the Competition Commission of India, including in relation to information filed under the Competition Act and inquiries initiated by the regulator. Its practice includes preparing and filing detailed responses to probe letters, notices, and investigation-related communications issued by the Commission, and guiding clients through all stages of regulatory engagement and enforcement proceedings.

The Firm has also acted in a landmark case involving a combination undertaken through the corporate insolvency resolution process, where the issue concerned the mandatory requirement of obtaining competition law approval prior to approval of the resolution plan. The Firm successfully advanced the position that clearance from the competition regulator is a statutory pre-condition which was ultimately upheld by the Supreme Court of India.
